How does Archangel mobile application work with little or no internet connection?

Online and Offline Connection Modes

The Archangel mobile application works whether or not you have an internet connection.  Archangel knows whether or not you have a connection and will put you into either online or offline mode automatically.  

  • Online Mode - Connected to the internet
  • Offline Mode - Not connected to the internet

You can also manually change your connection mode, this is especially helpful if you are working in an area with a poor internet connection.

While in Offline mode, some mobile functions are not available.  This includes the ability to view previous assessments, treatments and orders.

Work done and data saved while in offline mode will automatically synch to the cloud once the mobile user are back in Online Mode. 

All patient data stored in the mobile application is encrypted/HIPAA compliant.

All patient data uploaded to the cloud is encrypted en route and is stored in a HIPAA compliant environment.

How To See and Change Connection Status

From the home screen seen below left, you can press the online cloud symbol and it will bring you to your Current Connection Status. If you press the Switch to Offline Mode, your Connection Status will change to Offline mode.

Another way to see and change your Connectivity in Archangel is through the More Button on the home screen.  On the left screen below, you open up the more button and it brings a drop down menu of choices.  Choose the Connection Mode and it will bring you to your Current Connection Status.
